How do you tell your child to breathe through her nose? Emily is back on the higher rate of oxygen. I think she needs to do more breathing through her nose and a little less through her mouth.
The asthma sounds particularly yukky tonight. She has an appointment next week with the pulmonary doc, but I’m thinking I need to call him tomorrow.

Gotta go with your gut Mama. You know best. We're back on the prayer for Miss Em.
I just found your blog while searching for Mitrofanoff information. My daughter (Peanut in the blog world, but really named Emily also!) is going to have this done soon.
Have you have any problems with it? Would you recommend it? Any advice/suggestions you can give me?
Thanks in advance!!

Praying and wondering if sweet Emily is doing any better? I can so relate to the comment about teaching them to breath differently I too so often wish Luke would breath a whole lot different than he does. Did you get back into to see Dr. Ricker again?

for Little Fish we use a chinstrap. Would that be an option at all? Or perhaps a facemask instead of cannula? I really hope she's on the mend soon- having a rough time just now.
Tia
as tia said I would opt for a mask as opposed to a cannulae. many hugs . xx
