Got Connections?

HPIM1944a

Yesterday we took Emily to her pre-op appointment for her lithotripsy. This is just like a surgery, all the same pre-op stuff. Emily is still coughing and on oxygen. On Monday the pulmonary doctor put her on antibiotic and started steroids again. We’re hoping she will be good to go on Lithotripsy Monday.

This morning Emily is very bloated again although she was vented last night. I tried to start her on full strength formula again and seems that it isn’t moving through her gut. Poor girl. She is miserable. Back to half strength formula today.

The weather has been so beautiful and Grace starts riding her bike as soon as she gets off the school bus in the afternoon. She is so happy with her new-found skill. Dad has been riding with her in the evening after dinner. As soon as Emily is well we’re hoping to start riding on the bike trail through town. We have a couple of bike trailers, one of which we will adapt for Emily. If anyone has any adaptation ideas we’d love to see your pictures.

I hope that all goes well with the lithotripsy. I was glad to read that Emily and you are home! Days and nights in the hospital feel SO much longer than at home.

I was wondering if you have pictures of her Mitrofanoff, with and without a catheter in it? For some reason it's really hard to find pictures online. I am getting nervous as the time gets closer, although I know it's the best thing for my Peanut.
