This year the Renaissance Fair was set up just down the road from where we live. The Starlight Foundation had tickets that were donated and we received a family ticket from them to get into the fair. Thank you so much Starlight Foundation!
This is one of the first times we have been able to participate in a Starlight Foundation activity because Emily is usually ill, or trying to recover from a surgery or illness during their scheduled events. Today it was hot, but Emily is well and we all enjoyed the sights and shows. We let Emily tell us when she was ready to go home by watching how red or hot she was. There was some shade next to the tents, but not really enough to keep the heat from beating down on her. Next time I’ll bring an umbrella for her.
At the fair we saw people in costumes -
Entertainers -
Clothing Shops -
Jewelry and other Vendors -
And shows with horses!
All in all it was a fun day. With lots of water, and the bit of shady spots we were able to see everything at least once.
Thank you Starlight, and to those who donated the tickets so that we could have a really fun day.

Michelle,
sounds like so much fun! We went to one many yrs ago in Raliegh, and we really enjoyed it. Hope no one got sunburned!
Great pictures. that looks like fun! :)
I'm so glad you were able to get out and have some fun today. I enjoyed seeing the pictures. I had heard about the free tickets, but could not make it, I agree with you Starlight is pretty amazing!

oo what fun!
I love the costumes - but what are all the wings about?
Tia
I think the wings are supposed to be fairy wings.
Oh, how much fun! I so miss the Renaissance Fairs at Black Point Forest. I understand they don't have them there anymore. The pictures look like you had a fabulous time. I'm so glad the girls could experience it. Did you get their hair braided with ribbons like little princesses?
