Its All Coming Together – Part 2

Putting this quilt together would be a very big job for me.  I have no idea what I’m doing so I decided to go to my sister’s house and have her help me.

IMG_0879aI used a flat sheet for the back and a polyester batting for the inside.

IMG_0880aMy sister Tracey and I used safety pins and started at the center of the quilt to secure the pieces together.  Once the quilt was pinned I took it home and began to quilt between each embroidery square.

IMG_0892a   I used white thread so it is a little difficult to see the quilted area in this picture (you can click on any photo to see an enlarged version).  I used a rose design for the quilting.

IMG_0906aOnce the quilting was complete I hand-stitched around the edges and sewed everything together.

I bet you were wondering who is the lucky recipient of this very pretty quilt.  Grace kept asking if I was going to make her one of these….  Maybe another time Grace.

And now its done.  Time to pack it and mail it off.  Happy Birthday Trista!

Thanks for listening ~

You've done a beautiful job, way to go! It's so nice that you are taking the time away from the stresses of your daily schedule to do something that you are enjoying.

I hope and pray that Emily is feeling better.

Love in Christ,
